We want to remind everyone of our key deadlines, and we also want to direct you to some resources that are already available to help you with your Program Review pages.
Key deadlines
FY 2024 Program Review key deadlines are fast approaching!
By April 28, 2023—Department head final review is complete. All writing and performance measure data through FY 2022 is up to date, including current and recommended service levels. Beginning Monday, May 1st, budget analysts will move clean program review pages off SharePoint to network drive to begin the review process.
By August 11, 2023—Departments and DFB analysts will have updated narratives and tables with FY 2023 data.
By October 18, 2023—The full document will be complete and ready for the printer.
By November 8, 2023—Time to celebrate! The complete document will be ready for delivery to the Board and the public.
Good news: Departments can focus on content and messaging, and do not need to worry about formatting. Starting May 1, DFB will be guiding the document through a review and formatting process.
Resources that are available to you as you work
(1) The DFB team is—of course—a critical resource for you. We know that many of you are working closely with your analyst to complete your pages, especially when it comes to adding the Recommended Service Level content that is new in this Program Review. Please keep those lines of communication open. We’re here to help.
(2) The Pathway to Stabilization intranet site is also a critical resource as you work on the Program Review. We launched it in November and regularly add content. We thought it would be helpful today to show the content there that will most help you with what you’re working on now:
The Program Review activity template and timeline are available at the top of the page under the Resources heading
Four specific Tips will help you think about and write your current service level and recommended service level statements:

Pathway to Stabilization concepts outside of work (Feb 7, 2023)
Putting your customer at the forefront when creating your current and future service level statements (Feb 21, 2023)
One very recent Tip will help you write more clearly and concisely for your audience:
Choose your words carefully (Mar 7, 2023)
